Prismatic continues the Pokémon card craze
Prismatic Evolutions is a great set, it truly is...
... but seeing the craze in the hobby, there is only so much a collector can take. It used to be easy collecting Pokémon-cards, and possible with the prices from way back when (2021 and before, I would say) when you could still get a booster box for under a 100 quid.https://www.cardmarket.com/en/Pokemon/Products/Singles/Prismatic-Evolutions/Sylveon-ex-V2-PRE156?language=1
Prismatic's pulls are great, beyond just the Eeveelutions.
The only thing is, you do need to get pulls. And that is the one thing that Prismatic Evolutions does not excel at. And priced at around $10 or €10 a pack, that can get expensive real quick if all you get is Pokéball Reverses, and not even Masterballs, the fun quickly subsides.
Finally, the prices on the big prize-cards are cooling off a little. The Sunbreon (Umbreon Prismatic Evolution card) can be gotten for under a $1000 right since a little while, and other Eeveelutions are a whole lot more affordable, although they still fetch hefty amounts.
However, considering the pull-rate, for less than the price of a Super Premium Collection box (around €170 in Europe) to get your hands on an Eeveelution would not be such a bad deal, comparatively speaking. Always buy the singles!
