Do we collect Instagram login data?

No. Our website does not let visitors log in with Instagram or Facebook. We do not receive your Instagram password, access tokens, or direct messages through the embed feature.

What our Instagram embeds do

Editors may add a public Instagram post or reel URL to an article or page. Our server then requests public preview information from Meta's oEmbed API (for example a thumbnail image, display name, and caption snippet) and shows a custom preview card on our site. We do not run Meta's embed JavaScript on your browser for that feature.

• The Instagram URL is stored in our content system as part of the page or post.
• Preview data may be cached briefly on our servers (typically up to about one hour) to improve performance.
• We do not build a separate database of Instagram user profiles or follower lists.

If your Instagram post appears on our site

If you are the creator of content we have embedded and you want it removed from PoKéTechnique:

1. Email us at hello@poketechnique.com with the subject line "Instagram embed removal" and include the page URL on our site and the Instagram post URL.
2. We will remove or update the embed from our content within a reasonable time (usually within 30 days).
3. Deleting or making the post private on Instagram also means our preview will stop working; we may still remove the reference on our site upon request.

To delete your Instagram account or content on Instagram itself, use Instagram's own settings — we cannot delete data held by Meta or Instagram on your behalf.

For personal information you may have given us (for example via contact or a newsletter signup), you can request access, correction, or deletion through the same email or our contact page. Newsletter subscribers can also use the unsubscribe link in any email we send. See our privacy policy for more detail on analytics and cookies.

Meta developer app

Our Meta developer application is used only to fetch public oEmbed data for editorial embeds as described above. It does not offer a consumer login. This page is the designated way to request deletion of data associated with our use of Meta platform features.
